Meet Harold, the softest little party elephant who loves a celebration and is always the first to arrive at any birthday.

The gift that grows with your child. Harold comes with a set of interchangeable felt numbers from 1 to 11. Simply swap the number as your little one grows, and he is ready for every birthday, milestone and family photo for the next decade.

Made from soft biscuit plush with corduroy ears and feet, Harold wears a classic blue gingham bow tie and a navy party hat topped with a pom-pom. Beautifully tactile and made to be dragged into every celebration.

Harold loves building forts in his room and pretending he is the king, toasting marshmallows over a campfire, and singing at the top of his voice. He doesn't like smelly cheese.

His best friend and partner in any celebration isPriscilla the Party Elephant, who twirls beside him at every party and always saves him the biggest slice of cake.

Each Harold elephant arrives with his own character tag, a small story in his own words. Every forever friend deserves a proper introduction, and children treasure the ones who feel like more than a toy.

About the Brand

and the little dog laughed was launched in 2008 by Australian designer, Kylie Platt. 

Kylie has a passion for fabrics and design, and particularly loves to combine textures and mediums; knits and fabrics, stretch and floral cottons, adding different layers to a piece that would otherwise be one dimensional.

Kylie draws a lot of inspiration from her own childhood, and particularly likes to create timeless pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The inspiration for the labels' name comes from one of her favourite nursery rhymes, Hey Diddle Diddle.

With an initial launch of the brands' signature hand crochet blankets and knitted softie range for babies in 2010, this has evolved over time to include the ever popular and growing range of wool blend softies with knitted Australian merino wool clothing.

Each piece is designed to not only evoke a sense of nostalgia but are designed to be loved and cherished through to the next generation.
