Explore Nook all started in 2017 with a teacher (Jon) tinkering with bamboo in a school wood-work shed in the school holidays. He wanted to make something for his 5-6 year old students that would help them to connect with nature and engage in open-ended play.

Jon found his kids absolutely loved playing with the new open-ended bamboo toy (Bamboo Construct & Roll TM). Once Jon introduced this resource to his Early Childhood Teacher colleagues they all wanted a set of their own! The rest is history and the company Explore Nook Pty Ltd was launched!

Explore Nook's resources are loved by early childhood educators and are also extremely popular with families who desire their children to engage in open-ended play and connect with nature. Since the beginning they have had amazing feedback from their customers. They are continually designing new natural toys, that are open-ended and inspired by nature. All of Explore Nook's toys are created out of a love of children learning through open- ended play!
